oh boy. i cried at this fic. not just cried at the end but cried from the second paragraph in. read the tags before deciding if you want to read this. it’s full of angst, sadness and understanding – but it is one of the most beautiful pieces of writing i have ever read. i think flashbacks are really difficult to get right in a fic, but this one displayed them beautifully. the writing style was amazing, and i could really feel the sadness etched into each character, but in a similar way you could really feel the happiness in each moment too. diane warned me that if i was to read this fic, i would cry. she was right. but i’m so glad that i got to experience this story.
